This ONE-DAY Building Great Teams Workshop provides practical training on building great teams and guiding them towards success. This workshop will leave students with valuable team leadership skills that can be applied immediately with noticeable results.

Description

Some teams blend well and achieve great success. Others never come together, and ultimately fail. What’s the difference? How do we build teams which can work together effectively? Can a failing team be saved? What steps should leaders take to improve teamwork?

This class provides practical leadership training on how to build great teams and lead teams toward success. Using case studies, group discussions, and interactive exercises, students will learn practical team management skills they can apply immediately with noticeable results.

Who should attend?

All leaders who desire to better serve their employees, agency and community. This includes current and aspiring leaders as well as senior managers, commanders and chiefs.

Instructors

Frank Trammer

Frank Trammer is a master trainer and facilitator for the John Maxwell Team, the largest & most trusted leadership training and development organization in the world. Frank is a dynamic and influential speaker on the topics of Leadership and Personal Development. He has a diverse law enforcement background having worked more than 19 years in state, county and municipal law enforcement. Frank began his law-enforcement career with the Atlanta Police Department and is currently the Deputy Chief of Police at Georgia Tech. He has led numerous units including S.W.A.T., Special Operations, K-9, Investigations, Training, Administration, and Patrol. Frank is an adjunct professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Columbus State University where he teaches Leadership. In 2018, Frank founded Guardian Leadership Training, whose vision is “To improve the lives of leaders and those they serve”. He holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University and is also a graduate of the Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, and the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College.

Tony Leonard

Tony Leonard is a Captain with the Georgia Institute of Technology Police Department, where he serves as the Criminal Investigations Division Commander. Previously, Tony spent twenty years with the Smyrna, GA Police Department, where he served as the Captain over the Criminal Investigations Division. Tony has served as a guest lecturer at Kennesaw State University, Reinhardt University, and the University of West Georgia. He, also, serves as President of the Georgia Association of Law Enforcement Trainers and Instructors (GALETI). In 2012, Tony was selected to participate in the Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange 20th Delegation to Israel, where he studied with the Israel Police. He is a graduate of the 130th Administrative Officer’s Course of the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville.
